So I’m officially in love with Paris! My best friend and I stayed in Place de Clichy for 4 days and had the most magical time. Here’s my diary of the whole trip, along side some cheesy tourist pictures! Hope you enjoy!
We got the train to Manchester airport, well technically we didn’t because TransPennine Express decided the train we were on wasn’t going! A few changes later and we just get through passport control before the flight starts boarding! Nothing like living on the edge!
Once we landed in Charles De Gualle, the fun really started! It was a nightmare, we had no clue which train to get onto and we bought the wrong tickets. 1 train ride, 5 different metro stations, 100’s of stairs and about a miles walk later and we got to the hotel finally. We worked out that it took us longer to get from the airport to the hotel than it did to fly from Manchester. By this time, we were both pretty damn tired and desperate for wine!!
I was so excited to start exploring Paris through the day, after Fridays experience, things could only get better! We had bought Red Bus Tour tickets so we could make sure we saw everything, it was well worth the money and I definitely recommended doing it. The tour started at the Eiffel Tower and I was not prepared for how impressive it would be, I was genuinely in awe.
We saw all the amazing sights of Paris from the open top bus, I opted for a chic navy jumper, light skinny jeans and Hermes belt. I always struggle to plan outfits in different countries, the variables stress me out way too much! Haha I did feel I’d got the outfit right though, the women in Paris are so effortlessly chic just like I thought they would be. I felt like I fitted in there, maybe it’s my spiritual home!
We hopped off the bus at The Champs Elysée and walked down all the way down and up the other side, it was a dream come true. We visited the Louis Vuitton flagship store, a few years ago I used to be pretty obsessed by Vuitton bags but once I set eyes on the new Lockit soft leather bag and the Capucines bags, the love affair was back on!
I really wanted to buy something but I if I’m going to buy an investment piece, I don’t like to buy it on a whim! So I settled for a Paris guide book, which make me equally as happy!
After a world wind day of sight seeing and shopping, we got back to the hotel early and took our time getting ready for a Saturday evening in Paris!
Our hotel was the next street along from The Moulin Rouge so we wondered down the road to have a look, then quickly turned back round as the shops on that street seemed to get seedier and seedier! We found a wonderful restaurant that had at least 50 Parisians sat outside so opted to eat there. I had duck and I can honestly say it was the best duck I’ve tasted.
I’d bought a jumpsuit from Lipsy before I left for Paris for the Saturday night and I absolutely loved wearing it. It’s so comfortable and so easy to make a stunning outfit out of! You can buy it here!
I’ll be writing about the second half of my trip at the end of the week so keep your eyes peeled for that!!! 🙂
