Autumn is finally here! Lots of exciting new things have happened in the last few weeks, we have kittens, new camera, new clothes! I wanted to just do a random blog about things I’ve been working on so here we are! They’ll still be fashiony things so don’t panic! 🙂
Meet Penelope and Parker our beautiful tabby kittens. We got them at 9 weeks old, Penny was very small (still is) but they have settled in perfectly with us and seem very at home! I don’t mean to gush over them but there are honestly the cutest cats I’ve ever seen! I may have mothered them too much as they are very needy and love to cuddle up with us, to be fair though, that’s everything I’ve been looking for in having cats! They do have their downsides though, mainly crawling up the curtains! Meowing in your face at 5am, knocking things over when you tell them off but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. I might just start adding random pictures of them to my blog posts!
The new camera!
Finally! I thought by having a fancy posh camera, I’d be blogging all over the shop! Wrong! Turns out I have no idea how to use a fancy posh camera! In my defence, I have been trying hard to figure it out. I honestly thought it was really easy to take amazing photos, I’d be the new Zoella in a heart beat. I do now have a new found respect for photographers and especially fashion bloggers who have no one to take pictures for them, like myself. I’ve put in few landscape photos I took last Sunday in Coniston, if anyone has any tips or guidance it would be gratefully received!
I love the colours of the leaves in this one, problem is… I have no idea how I took it! I need to start making notes!
And finally…. New clothes
Taking photos of yourself is much harder than I expected! It doesn’t feel natural and there is always that feeling of ‘do I actually look like that!’
I’m growing in confidence though, next time I might venture outside, fingers crossed they’ll be better than these ones!
Clothing wise, I’ve gone all out khaki! Green everything!
For years it’s never been a colour I would ever wear but it compliments other staples such as nudes, blacks and greys so well for autumn. I can’t stop wearing the black River Island lace up shoes in the picture above. Granted they are a struggle to walk in but when your not really in the mood to show off some skin, these are always the first thing I reach for, then lay on jumpers and leggings!
I’ll do another individual post about the items in these pictures like the hat, shoes, cape and boots. I also need to discuss the Balmain for H&M line that will be released on line on Thursday 5th November! If you didn’t see the news stories about it, check out the complete line here, some pieces are stunning!
